Missing Pieces was inspired by the toys I played with as a kid growing up in Greenville. My goal was to depict Greenville in a way that was recognizable but unexpected, while also being meaningful to my time spent here. I hope the work inspires viewers to remember the sense of wonder and playfulness that we all had as kids before we had the weight of the world on our shoulders. To create these pieces I worked in Blender, a 3D modeling and animation software similar to the programs used in the making of movies such as Up and Toy Story. Each piece can take anywhere from 12 hours to 100, using a combination of modeling, sculpting, and physics simulations to give them a toy like appearance.

The softcover book is a 9x12 inch book with 96 pages of 3D toy models of Greenville SC. The books was printed by Martin Printing in Easley SC.
